Hunter Porter is a Los Angeles-based alt-rock and post-punk recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Fusing heavy, overdriven guitar textures with post-punk and indie rhythms amidst a dark coastal visual palette, he works entirely out of his independent LA studio; writing, performing, and producing his own work.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hunter Porter inhabits the role of producer and multi-instrumentalist. After cutting his teeth as a touring guitarist, Porter has turned his attention to crafting a modern, uncompromising sound that bridges the frenetic energy of a modern rock band with the depth of an accomplished songwriter.

Rooted in the a visual palette of low-light textures and heavy sonic grit, Porter’s music balances aggressive guitar riffs with intricate harmonic motion. Drawing technical inspiration from his main instrument alongside the driving weight of bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Turnstile, and The Strokes, his production style prioritizes bone-shaking low-end, visceral drum impact, and raw performance integrity over polished digital perfection.

Operating out of his independent studio, Porter handles the complete creative pipeline—writing, performing every instrument, tracking, and producing all of his material independently. This relentless, multi-instrumental workflow allows him to maintain an unfiltered artistic vision from initial guitar pass to final mix translation.

With a growing catalog of standalone singles and EPs, including recent releases LOST and Always Summer, and a high-octane live show built for modern rock audiences, Hunter Porter continues to establish himself as a distinct, self-contained force in contemporary heavy alternative music.
